THE LANGERS here who'll be performing live 6 nights a week in Christy’s this summer 2011 from the start of May until late October. A well-travelled duo who played in bars on the sun drenched shores of the Mediterranean to the snow swept peaks of the French alps and the crazy bars of Amsterdam to bars all over Ireland, Germany, Scotland, Eastern Europe etc. The Langers have a great repertoire including songs from Christy Moore, The Wolfetones, Sawdoctors, Paddy Reilly, Tracey Chapman, Eric Clapton, R.E.M, The Pogues, The Dubliners, U2, Bob Marley, Paul Simon, Kenny Rogers, Van Morrison, Johnny Cash, The Eagles, Irish Ballads, Mundi, Red hot Chile peppers, Jason Maras, Paulo Nutini, Nirvana, Stereo Phonics, The Verve, Oasis, Damien Dempsey, Don MacLean, Ce lo Green, Eagle eye Cherry, Jameriquie, 60’s, 70’s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and the list goes on and it depends on the crowed and what they request. The Langers play and sing with no backing tracks so what you see and hear is actually happening! Instruments played are two Vocals, two guitars, Fiddle, Mandolin,  Banjo. They take requests and get people up to sing if the night is going that way. If anyone wants to take their Fiddle, Banjo, whistle or Box along on their holidays be sure to drop in for a tune. Good players are always welcome up for a jam.

For sports viewing there’s two huge plasma TV’s, one big screen, two large Tele’s and a tele out on the terrace, so anywhere you sit in the bar you get a perfect and comfortable view. There are also three big air conditioning machines for those humid days and nights that can occur from time to time in Salou.

The live music starts around 10 o’clock and during the break there’s a free shot quiz and DJ Froggy always has something up his sleeve to get the audience involved in some craic or other. The live music finishes at around 01.00 with a great party atmosphere and then a disco with all the classics played ‘till 04.00 as the bar closes. The beauty of Christy’s is that it’s a family bar, couples bar, Singles bar all rolled into one. It's a bar everyone would love to have in their hometown so it's been said 1000's of times. It has a fantastic atmosphere, which steadily progresses from opening ‘till closing. It’s the ingredients that make it. The friendly but crazy Staff, Live music, Great DJ/entertainer that plays a bit of everything for everyone, people singing along and getting involved, dancing and then the partying for nights you’ll never forget!! (In some cases you might!!) If you haven’t had enough at 04.00 all the Local night clubs are still open and are a stone throwing distance from Christy’s. Have a good one!!
