Daytona Beach offers trolleys and busses for visitors to use to get around the area with relative ease; These services are run by VOTRAN ( http://volusia.org/votran/).

VOTRAN offers shuttle service all along A1A serving the hotels and attractions from Granada to Dunlawton and connects to Beach Street between Orange Avenue and International Speedway Boulevard.

For a more touristy ride, take VOTRAN’s trolley.  The trolley runs along Atlantic Avenue, offering views of the beach.  This ride only costs $3 for unlimited trips during 24 hours for adults and seniors and children are half price.  The trolley runs from noon to midnight every day except Sundays.

For those visitors who need to do more than just cross a street or two, VOTRAN offers city-wide bus service. Bus fares are the same as trolley fares. Bicycle riders are welcome to store their bikes on the bike rack attached to the bus.

It should be noted that while public transportation is frequently used, travelers also find it relatively easy to drive in the Daytona Beach area. Many people choose to use public transportation more for the tourist aspect and convenience of leaving their car at their hotel.
