Southern California in general, and Long Beach in particular, is a vacation destination enjoyed by tourists from all over all throughout the year.  This is due in large part to the fact that Long Beach has beautiful, sunny California weather nearly every day of the year.  Long Beach boasts more than 345 days of sunshine.  This means that there are less than three weeks of rain throughout the entire year!  Because of this, travelers can enjoy the beach in any season.

Visitors do come to the Long Beach area all throughout the year, but summer is the busy time for tourists.  The beaches can get crowded at this time of year.  Visitors who are able to come in late spring or early fall are likely to miss the tourist crowds and still be able to enjoy the best beach weather the area has to offer.
