Recommended Romantic Restaurants

Dar Moha - What the restaurant lacks in romantic decor, it more than makes up for in terms of culinary flair. The pre-starter course was particularly inspired, consisting of a selection of perhaps 15 dishes which were creative rather than traditional. Expensive for Morocco(approximately £60 for two including wine).

Le Tobsil - Almost impossible to find but well worth it when you do. This is an incredibly romantic restaurant - a covered courtyard with the tables set on two floors. There are musicians, candles, rose-petals and orange flower water sprinkled before eating. As with Dar Moha, the pre-starter is the best course although this one is perhaps more traditional in style. Expensive for Morocco (approximately £70 for two including wine).

Le Foundouk - A slightly disappointing restaurant. The decor is stunning although despite its obvious Moroccan feel, would perhaps be more at home in London or New York. The food was good but overpriced in comparison to Dar Moha and Le Tobsil.

Le Marrakchi - The best option if you wish to dine overlooking Jemaa el Fna. The food is good, service excellent and entertainment provided by way of belly dancers. The best tables are by the window on the top floor and it is advisable to book these tables in advance.
