The Merry Ploughboy Pub is the only pub in Ireland owned and managed by Traditional Irish Musicians. The pubs hosts a nightly show of traditional Irish music and dancing, featuring the pub's owners the Merry Ploughboys, a band who have been performing together for 22 years.  The pub is located 20 minutes outside of Dublin City Centre but is easily accessed by the pub's shuttle bus service which picks up from six locations around Dublin city centre (for 5.50 return fare) or altrenatively by taxi. Complimentary car parking is also available at the pub. Reservations for the show/bus transfer need to be made in advance but can be made online. The meal included with the show is 3 courses (starter, main course with vegetables, dessert), and pints/drinks from the back bar are available throughout as well. The Merry Ploughboys themselves perform original and more well-known Irish songs with Irish dancers taking the stage halfway through.
