Tofino overview

Idyllic fishing village Tofino and its neighbor Ucluelet sit on the remote west coast of Vancouver Island, beside Clayoquot Sound, a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve. The area's rugged, log-strewn Pacific beaches are famed for their impressive waves, and surfing is popular. Tofino offers a slew of upscale inns and eateries, including the famed Wickaninnish Inn. Summer months see hordes descend on the tiny town. December through February's storm watching season is also a lure to visitors.
