Resorts continue to spring up, but the small-town flavour of "Zihua" remains refreshingly intact. The brick-paved "fisherman's walk", a nod to the region's seafaring roots, stretches along the town centre. Seafood and fresh fish are highlights of the local dining scene, sport fishing is readily available and the nightlife is mostly informal. Take a short boat ride across calm Zihuatanejo Bay to soak up rays on the sands of Playa Las Gatas or take a leisurely stroll to lovely Playa la Ropa beach.
