really surprised to see so many negatives here....geriatrics? where? Its true there are not many beautiful young 20 somethings lounging around...though there are some! The hotel is exquisite in old colonial style... We love to dress for dinner and have cocktails in the glorious bar...and yes, the Pringles and peanuts are a nod to another era, but it works! It is true,it has the feeling of a "Club" with a Managers Cocktail Party on a certain night of the week, but we were made to feel very welcome the first time we stayed....and are still made welcome, but not pandered to just because we have been before. Breakfasts are wonderful in a glorious setting, and the "barbecue" evening is superb. There is usually( an extremely good Tennis Pro there, which my husband and many others thoroughly enjoy, and the courts are in great condition. The sister hotel, the Sandpiper? There has always been a tv in our room (unwatched...who could watch tv in paradise?) but there is a very good computer room which we use regularly to keep in tough with the world. Surly staff?? NO. Despots in Dining Room? NO NO NO. Cant wait to get back in October!
