My wife and I just completed our second trip to Bananarama, having stayed there in 2014 previously. This time we took our two adult step-daughters, one boyfriend, and my wife's best friend (a total of six adults). We got the "King Beach House", room no. 23, for our accommodations. It was large enough to accommodate all of us comfortably. I had the master bedroom with my wife and we had a private bath. My oldest step-daughter and her boyfriend had the other bedroom, and our youngest and my wife's best friend had the two Murphy beds in the living area. The other four shared the other bath.
I was concerned that our location right over the main seating area for the Thirsty Turtle would be noisy late into the night, as there was usually a band playing there most nights. However, the bands usually stopped about 9:30 PM (Karaoke went to about 10:30) so most of the nights were quite after bedtime.
We had minor issues with the AC in the second bedroom but the office worked with us to resolve those. The staff was always very friendly and worked to insure we had a good time. The deck outside our room was magnificent - lots of space and two hammocks and outdoor ceiling fans. We has a great view of the beach area as well.

Having the bar right downstairs was very convenient to our family, and it was a quick walk to the beach as well as to the dive shop.
The kitchen was also very nice to have. We always ate breakfast at the Thirst Turtle as that was included with the room, and we usually ate out at night. But we used our kitchen for lunches everyday as well as for snacking and drinks.
All in all, if you are looking for a luxury hotel, Bananarama isn't that, but it was a very good experience for my family. As other reviewers have noted, the dive shop is excellent and I am writing a separate review for them. I would enthusiastically recommend Bananarama to anyone looking to enjoy a good experience on the beach without spending a ton of money.More
