“Brilliant night, riding mountain bikes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

We had a fantastic night riding the mountain bike trails around the woods in castleward. The instuctor was very friendly and was able to give good advice about the area, he was also able to cater to the differing skill levels within the group.

The rental equipment was of the best quality and was well maintained and the instructor was able to quickly take care of any malfunctions to keep the session flowing smothly

“Something different to do with the kids!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

Took my 2 daughters on the Sea Safari over Halloween mid term break. It was really interested and the staff were really friendly and make it really fun and interesting. Would definitely recommend this as an exciting alternative to the usual mid term trip to the cinema!

“Strangford Sea Safari - informative and great fun!”

I am from Northern Ireland and Co. Down, but even so found the Strangford Sea Safari to be very informative and great fun. Our skipper Andy was very knowledgeable and was both able and willing to answer all questions. To our surprise we did not feel seasick at all, nor did anyone else on our trip. We took the Whirlpool Special trip at a cost of £18 each (for adults). The trip lasted just over 45 mins and was well worth the money. We would definitely recommed the Sea Safari boat trip!

“Excellent weekend with Clear sky Castleward!”

Just spent weekend with Clearsky activities at Castleward. Saturday morning Coasteering. YOU HAVE TO DO THIS!! Weather was great and very calm. Eddie and Rory were our instructors and looked after us all, very professional but fun time. Went with my 15 yr old son for a bit of bonding time. Rock climbing and jumping off high cliffs into sea. You have to go into the hidden cave!! Second day 2.5 hours around Castleward Park mountain biking on excellent bikes hired from Clearsky. Could easily have spend 5 hours on tracks. Very enjoyable and a must do . Tracks are really well set out with lots of different terrain and suitable for all ages. Went out on Sea Safari in afternoon on Strangford Lough. Another must do!! Saw the lovely wildlife, seals and falcons, up and close to whirlpools which Andy the boatman explained and handled the very fast currents with ease, 300 hp engines on boat!! great craic. Castleward is a National Trust property and has a very good cafe and courtyard and lots of activities for all ages. If you camp or caravan, you have to book the caravan site. Very well run and the introduction of Pods for 2 - 4 persons. These are Scandanavian wooden huts, lovely! Check it out. Will be back soon.
