“a very magical place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 April 2009

Warm Earth Cottage is a very unique little oasis of peace and calm. Our hosts Anne & Bert were very welcoming and no request was too much trouble for them. It was the perfect location to spend three nights out of our trip.
Highlights include moonlit outdoor baths under the stars, Anne's delicious BBQ and extremely comfortable and super-clean cabins. Our only regret was not being able to stay for longer.
Staying at a place like this makes your trip even more special and leaves you with very happy memories. Definitely worth a visit, I have never commented on a website before but felt I had to.
Thanks Anne & Bert!!!!

“Totally Unique B&B. A must on any trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2009

Stayed at Warm Earth Cottages during a tour around the North Island. It is, without doubt, the most unique B&B I have ever stayed in. After the warm (and alcoholic) welcome, you are left to setting in amongst stunning scenery, a calming stream and candlelight. The highlight is the wood fired outside bath. What a way to unwind in the evening. Treat yourself to the breakfast BBQ to set you up for the day. 100% recommended.

“Absolutely Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2009

Warm Earth Cottage is superb. My wife and I had our honeymoon here and we couldn't have been happier. The cottages are wonderful and so cosy and romantic. Having no power in the cottage and relying on candles is gorgeous and beautifully romantic. We had a fantastic time together and Anne and Burt are fantastic hosts. They basically leave you alone but if you need anything they are more than happy to assist. The outdoor bath is amazing and we must have spent hours soaking in the tub. I can highly reccommend the BBQ platter which you cook on the BBQ provided. Prawn and scallop kebabs, Venison steaks, Chicken tenderloin, sausages, two great salads and dessert. You will certainly not go hungry. There is a beautiful stream running through the property with a great private swimming hole for each cabin. This place is excellent for a romantic getaway, cosy, private and extremely relaxing.

We will certainly be returning

“An amazing, realaxing experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2009

This place was amazing - from the moment we arrived we were relaxed and made to feel at home by our hosts Anne & Bert. The huts (Tranquility & Serenity) are very cosy, especially at night when they are lit by candlelight. The bush bath was the highlight, soaking away under the stars - and the water stayed hot for ages! Breakfast is a feast, and keeps you going throughout the day. The location is secluded, with only the animals and birds for company. Would highly recommend these cottages for a romantic holiday, for a recharge, or to simply to get away from it all.
