“Great value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2010

We stayed here for a week in June 2010 and can honestly say that we couldnt fault it. The staff were friendly and helpful, the apartments were spotlessly clean, and cleaned every second day, towels and bedding were spotless and changed regularly. We had two apartments, one for my 70 year old mother and one for myself, husband and two daughters aged 12 and 9. The swimming pool was clean and the area around it had new sun loungers and umbrellas. We did hear some noise in the early hours from the bars opposite but nothing that was too much - the location was very central so wouldnt expect anything else! The only downside was the lack of a lift as we were on the 3rd floor which my mum found difficult sometimes. All in all I would definitely recommend and we would happily stay here again.

“Ideal for couples who want a quiet nights sleep in Ibiza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 April 2010

I'm writing this review 8 months after visiting Ibiza for the 1st time with my girlfriend, as we are both in our early 30's we were wanting to go for a lively holiday with good nightlife but we wanted to be able to sleep when we got home and not have groups of 18-30 year olds running about banging doors etc at 5am. Well this place is ideal for that. We done a lot of online reviewing of apartments/hotels in Ibiza looking for this type of appt and we couldn't have been happier. Took about 45 mins from airport to get dropped off at apartments and we were met at reception by I presume the hotel manager who was polite and friendly enough.

We stayed on the 2nd floor and stayed on one of the side facing rooms. The main room, bedroom and bathroom were all very spacious and the kitchen came with all required cutlery/aparatus for any self boarding needs. Our balcony view was not the greatest looking over the adjoining millenium restaurant but we could still see the sea and enjoyed sitting out on the balcony having a drink or two before heading out or having a bit of breakfast in the morning. The balconys were far enough apart so that nobody from the adjoining room could jump over too which was a bonus.

Air conditioning was superb and made a huge difference at night. New towels were supplied on a daily basis and the maids who spoke little or no english were always polite and said hello when we passed them on the stairs. The pool was normally pretty busy and was a lovely suntrap, water was a nice temperature and the pool guests where a varied mix of older parents with kids and groups of 3 or 4 girls or lads who would normally stay for a while before heading off elsewhere. Pool had a quiet atmosphere with no entertainment and was ideal for chilling out, occasionally the bar would play music for about half hour or so but most people were happy to listen to their own MP3/I-Pods etc for music.

My only complaint and a minor one at that was the sunbeds are in need of being replaced, there is probably about 60 beds in total around the pool but half of them the canvas has sunk meaning they are impossible to lie on without breaking your back, but as I said this is a minor complaint for what are quality apartments. We are going back to Ibiza this year and are planning on staying at the bahia again. As per other posts the Bahia is a fair distance from the main strip but we enjoyed the 10 min walk down to the boats and taking the 2.50 euro boat over to the strip each night for the nightlife. After a night on the lash on the main strip we ended up walking back to the apartments from the main strip a few times, it took about 45 minutes and had plenty little bars on the way.

Overall we were delighted to stay here and we got it for a week at a more than reasonable price.

“Value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2009

After paying £210 each for a week we weren't expecting The Ritz and it was absolutely fine for what we paid.

Room
There were 4 of us sharing and the bedroom was ok with a big wardrobe but the living room was a bit disappointing as there was no where for the 2 of us to put our clothes etc even though there would have been plenty of space for a chest of drawers. There was a microwave, kettle, hob, plates, cups and cutlery but nothing for washing pots and the kitchen is in a sort of cupboard so when you are using it and have the doors open it's too dark to see anything. Cleanliness was ok, maids came in everyday and changed towels, cleaned floors etc but they didn't change the sheets on the beds in the living room during the week. Our view wasn't great, we were on the side of the hotel and looked out onto the back of a restaurant. I think the rooms on the back of the hotel would get a nice view of the sea.

Apartments
Quite a mix of people at the apartments, families with young kids, older kids and groups of friends. The pool and sunbeds were full most days but not over crowded and it gets the sun most of the day. We spent a few days at the pool instead of going to the beach and really enojed it. We never found it noisy at night and didn't see any trouble.

Staff
The staff were fine, we only really spoke to the manager of the apartments and didn't see many other people running the hotel other than him, the maids and usually one person on the bar. We had a huge advantage that my friend spoke Spanish which made getting taxis and speaking to the manager sooooo much easier. I don't know what he'd be like with people who don't speak spanish but he seemed ok.

Location
The location isn't great for getting to San Antonio because you're on the opposite side of the bay but you can get a taxi quite easily which takes about 10 -15 minutes and I think it usually cost about 10 euros. You can also walk about 5-10 minutes and then get on the ferry which leaves about every half an hour and is nice to cool down and enjoy the view, I think that cost 2.50 euros. We stayed at the Monterrey apartments a few years ago and I would go back there rather than here just because of the location. We were much further round the bay this time and too far from the San Antonio to walk. Also the beaches nearest to the apartments aren't great, we saw alot of rubbish on the beaches and they weren't very sandy. We usually walked about 20 minutes towards San Antonio to the beach nearest Monterrey Apts which was much nicer.

Where to go
Kumharas is a really nice chilled out sunset bar on the beach about 2 minutes from the apts, they have a restaurant, and lots of stalls selling jewelry, bags etc but everything is very expensive if you're on a budget like ours. We just had 1 drink and watched the sunset then went on the beach with shop bought drink and listened to the bands which were really good. Cafe del Mar is really good for watching the sunset but again very expensive. You also have to get there really early for a good seat, we got there just in time as we got a great table and 10 minutes later it was packed. All the restaurants around the apts sell the same food, burgers, pizzas, omlettes etc but one place we found that was excellent and not too expensive was Relish. Shame we didn't find it sooner or we probably would have gone everyday.

All in all a fantastic holiday, wish I was back there now!! Worst thing probably the kitchen but if you can afford to eat out most of the time then not a problem!

“Excellent value for more money! We where blow away, just perfect...”

So where do i start, this place was just perfect, we had an apparent that overlooked the sea, absolutely stunning views.. 2nd floor room 14

The place was spotless and the maids called everyday to check if we needed anything, clean towels bed linen, etc.

Its in a really good area for families, loads to do and see, I was there with my partner and it was just the most perfect and romantic break ever, there is a stunning funky beach front bar/restaurant just around the corner called Kahkumas (i think, spelling might be wrong) but defo worth a check out. we hired a car and toured the whole island, its so beautiful, a visit to a near beach 10 mins away called calla conte!! Next to calla bassa beach, this is a must, perfect clear waters, you can even see the fish….check out a bar on the edge of a cliff there called sunset ashram, so AMAZING watching the sunset go down here. plus the apartments are fully equipped with two rings, toaster, microwave and kettle.. exactly what is needed... so I would really recommend this place 100% i will defo be going back ...

defo should be rated more than a 2 star appartment, but it cant as it doesnt have a lift...

“rooms dull and out dated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2009

stayed here for one week the rooms were dull and old fashioned, bathroom very dark , the kitchen was concealed in a unit and you had to keep the door open if you were using the sink or cooker with your hand. there was some homeless person living under the balcony in some bushes.there was a lot of rain during our stay and the door and window let in water.
