“Surprisingly Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2009

I read all the reviews and was a bit sceptical, because nowhere ever is as good as it sounds is it? Well in this case I was proved wrong, because this place is as good as it sounds - to say it is only 2 keys - if not better. The staff are so friendly and helpful (unusual for Spain in my experience). The apartments are spotless and well equipped if not exactly modern. Great air conditioning (free), flat screen TV, microwave etc., plenty of towels and bed linen. The pool area is particularly well kept and nice too. All the shops, bars, restaurants, bus stop etc. you need are nearby.

Downsides? Well the nearest beach is not particularly good, there is a better one about 10-15 minutes walk away. Also it's a long way out of San Antonio town itself (an hour's fast walk) although you can get a bus or ferry. The area can be a bit noisy at night but it's not that bad (it's actually quite quiet for San Antonio!)

All in all highly recommended if you want good, economical accommodation in the San Antonio area.

“Great place”

We have recently stayed at the Bahia apartments and couldn't complain about anything. The staff were friendly and rooms were clean on arrival. Rooms had new air conditioning fitted - one system in the dining area and one in the bedroom, with a remote that worked the both. New TVs in rooms, a microwave, fridge, sink area, cupboards etc etc. Cleaners came in every other day, and if you are in the room when they call, they just leave you fresh towels etc and do not disturb you. If you do need towels, you can go to the reception/bar area where a member of staff will help you. You don't have a key here, you have a card which is great, you just slot it in and it works the electric! However, be sure you take it with you when you leave your room! We left it in there one night and din't realise until about half 12 at night! Luckily they have a security man on who contacted the owner and he came and let us in - He was really nice and just said "Don't worry, it happens all the time" **** Just be aware if you are booking these apartments that there are two "Bahias" in San Antonio!! One is located right by the hotel Hawaii very near to San Antonio and the Westend, by Linikers bar, burger king and KFC - And the other is located right up the far end of the bay (which is this one). As we looked at the Bahia apartments on another site, before booking through Alpharooms, we were under the impression we were booking the ones which were nearer the westend and didn't realise there were two! However, we are pleased we did now as we would never have seen this part of the bay. There are plenty of bars and restaurants up this end of the bay and the Millenium Bar which is just next door is spot on!! Go and visit Peppe the owner, he really makes you feel welcome along with his staff, it really made our holiday. You can actually walk into San Antonio which we did a couple of times, it takes about 50 minutes and is mostly a straight road the whole way, then you follow the beach round on the walkway provided. You can also get the boat across for 2.50 Euros, or a taxi was about 5 Euros. We were also right by the BN3 Bar, which is a pre-part bar. This is where you can go if you are going to any of the clubs, you can either buy your tickets here or in the club when you get there, and they provide a free bus service. The kind owner will also get you a taxi if you visit his bar - he has 9 working for him. But if they are all busy, he will pull one off the street for you while you enjoy your drink and wait.

I booked this hotel as part of a late deal package and was pleased with the appartment when i got there - nice and roomy and well kept. However, on my first night someone let themselves into my appartment through the front door swipe access, went through all my stuff and stole £200+ that I thought was safely pad- locked away in my suitcase along side my passport, bank cards, camera and ipod. Because it was my first night, I hadn't had chance to arrange a safety deposit box and the staff were never around when I visited the office. Reported it to the manager who was less than helpful, kept me waiting for a hour and wouldn't file a report for me to claim on my insurance. He claimed I hadn't shut the door properly but I had and nobody came in through the window or balcony, I was on the 2nd floor. He said that I woudn't get my money back on my insurance (he seemed to know alot about this, oddly), but that the only people who could get in would be a member of staff. As he was the only member of staff working at 11pm that night when the theft happened (there was only an 90 mins when it could of happened), I draw my own conclusions as to who took my money...

Because i was travelling on my own, it is safe to say I did not enjoy the rest of my holiday, and spent the nights with a chair wedged against the door and a knife under my pillow. You have been warned!

“Very happy with the Hotel and Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2009

Having booked a cheap late deal (flight and Hotel booked seperately) my Husband and I were worried that the Hotel wouldn't live up to expectations. We needn't have worried, it was rated as a 2 star but we feel that it would have been better suited to a 3 star, the room was cleaned every day with fresh towels, It also has a good size balcony. The pool was a good size too and kept clean.
It was right in the middle of a strip of Bars and Restraunts so everything was on the doorstep, however if its quiet your looking for close the windows and put the Aircon on.
Lager was averaging at 2 Euros a pint in the Bars (3 in the Hotel) and a Meal averaged between 3.50 to 7.50 depending on what you ordered. There is a great Bar next door called Millenium that also seves good food.
Would definatly recommend this Hotel and would go back.

“excellent holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2008

We stayed here (2 adult and 2 children aged 10 + 8) August bank holiday week 2008.We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was clean and very spacious. We had our own bedroom and the living room had a pull out bed setee. The room was cleaned every 3 days.
We booked half board which was provided by a down the road. The breakfasts were good but the evening meals were very average and we ate out a couple of times at The Tavern up the road in the evening(excellent food and great value, the port chops in bbq sauce are to die for)
The Apartments had 2 lovely clean pools,1 for adults and 1 kids. They even supplied inflatables for you to use.The kids just used the adults pool as it was 1.1 metres in the shallow end.
There are plenty of shops and entertainment around and the beach is only a short walk away.
There is a ferry boat which takes you in to san antonio which cost 2.50 euroseach or you can take a nice 45 minute stroll around the bay, dipping you feet in the sea on the way. There are lpenty of rock pools to do a bit of snorkelling.
There is plenty do do during the day in san antonio. As well as all the shops there are plenty of boat trips and a couple of tourist trains as well as a good bus service which takes you all over the island for next to nothing.
At night the bay place comes alive with good old fashioned entertainment. There are plenty of places showing sports (ie football,Formula 1) and many of the soaps can be watched as well. There is a few great places to take the kids offering bull rides, trampolines, slides, pool, air hockey etc.Drinks are quite cheap as most of them are buy one get one free.:)
Id reccomend Bahia San Antonio Apartments and San Antonio Bay to anyone who feels sceptical about taking children to Ibiza.
Excellent holiday overall, cant wait to get back.
