We spent 2 nights and 3 days here. To counter the previous "poor" review, this hotel is perfectly situated midway between Montepulciano, a must see, and Montalcino (both renowned wine towns). It is 45 minutes from Siena, but we actually preferred the location and venue as it truly shows the beauty of Tuscany. On the issue of parking, it is an issue in Italy as a whole, but Joergen (the "Proprietor") actually took my car on several occasions just to ensure I didn't have to deal with it. Moving on, our rooms were spacious by European standards. The Hotel is very well kept. We had breakfast and dinner there, both on the picturesque patio; the setting and view cannot be duplicated. The meals were excellent. Most important though is the service. These people go out of there way to be helpful. Joergen and Ousmane, the day manager, were extremely gracious and warm. Moreover, upon our entry, they immediately started making recommendations on sites to see and restaurants to go to, taking a proactive role in our holiday. In closing, we could not have been happier. I've stayed at 5 star hotels all over the world. This one ranks among them, but in a much warmer, smaller setting. We give it our highest recommendation.
