Without question, Sliabh gCua B&B was our favorite stay during our recent trip to Ireland and in reflection, it was our favorite B&B stay anywhere, ever. The home and gardens are stunningly beautiful, but the hospitality is what was truly exceptional. The owners suggested places to dine in Dungarvan and greeted us with hot chocolate, cake, and conversation fireside when we returned to their home. Breakfast was phenomenal and looked and tasted as if from the kitchen of a gourmet restaurant.

When we found Sliab gCua B&B online we were excited. When we arrived, we were happy with our choice. When we left, we debated changing plans and staying for another night as it was such a great experience for us. Please check out the pictures we took during our stay.

We stayed in Sliabh Gcua just for one night the first day of our arrival in Ireland and it was the best of all the other B&B we stayed in.

Breeda is so nice and warm and she cooks wonderful breakfasts . She also had home made muesli, organic youghurt, wonderful rhubarb compote. I also had porridge with a drop of whiskey (yum yum I still dream about it!)!. The place is absolutely relaxing and cozy.

Just simply the best B&B we've ever stayed at. From the moment the door opened and Breeda greeted us with her warm Irish charm, we knew we were in for something special. Our room was right out of a perfect scene in a movie. The view from our window breathtaking ...and the scones...ah the scones....to live for!. . So good that I'm sure Martha Stewart learned from this lovely lady.... who sets the benchmark for Irish hospitality.

During our first trip to Ireland, we wanted to surprise our youngest son with a farmstay. After a bit of doing, we were able to arrange our stay at Sliabh gCua. It was absolutely worth every effort just to see the smile on our son's face and his excitement when Jim called his herd of Angus cattle and one of them came up and licked his hand. More wonderful surprises were in store as Breeda, and their guest intern Regina from Austria, brought tea and biscuits for us as we rested under the Sycamore tree taking in the beautiful blue skies. After tea, Breeda recommended we drive up towards Tipperary to catch the Rhodendron in bloom. Wow - what beauty! It was a once-in-a-lifetime moment for all of us. Indeed, Breeda and Jim have made their house a home - for the weary traveller to be refreshed and revived. We'll always have fond memories of Sliabh gCua and we're sure our son will, too.
