We found this guest house by accident and ended up staying there, and in Ella, 6 nights because we liked it so much. It's up the road and around the corner from Sun Top hotel (--can't actually remember the name) --near the cricket ground & up from the police station. The guest house itself is clean and handy to town, with a common room, veranda overlooking a formal garden, and a dining room. We liked looking at the squirrels and greenery while drinking tea on the veranda.
There are two double bedrooms with big(ish) beds (and a single bedroom is being built out the back). The beds are comfy. The bathrooms are clean and MODERN--something we didn't often find in Sri Lanka, with plenty of hot water. You can wash your own clothes in a basin or have them washed in a washing-machine.
The family, Sumana & Karunapala (and sometimes their son Wasantha) are delightful. They are very helpful, unobstusive (except when waiting to help with anything you might want at mealtimes). Dinner was great: home cooked rice and curry; just let them know if you want dinner or breakfast beforehand. Some of the guests there had Western breakfasts, but we ordered string hoppers in advance and had them with curry.
Great experience with a good family. Ella was one of our favourite places in Sri Lanka, partly due to the relaxed and happy nature of this family, and the comfort of the rooms and house.
