I recently relocated to Santa Fe and made the wise decision to look for a long term rental while staying at the Chapelle Street Casitas. I spoke to the owner, Bruce, a very hospitable and helpful host who offered the casita at 321 McKenzie #7. This casita (one of many operated by Chapelle Street Casitas) was very attractively furnished, great light, all the comforts including a kitchenette and located beside the office, where a wonderful breakfast is served daily. Karen and Lonnie were superlative hostesses and served with a European style presentation, fresh fruits, yoghurt, granola and even home made tamales! The casitas attract guests who enjoy a unique, authentic rather than generic hotel experience. I'm not usually a morning person but I really looked forward to the convivial conversation and sharing our Santa Fe experiences.

The location couldn't be better—right behind the Georgia O'keeffe museum and walking distance to all the popular sights. I brought my senior rescue pug who was treated with the deference and warmth that all us human guests received.

A great value and a wonderful introduction to living in Santa Fe!

I stayed here for 2 nights in one of the Casitas in Staab St. As others have mentioned this is a perfect location in a lovely little street surrounded by flowers. Perfectly positioned near the Plaza and easy walking distance to many attractions. The Casita itself was old but lovely, and as long as you are not expecting a 5 star plush hotel, is fine. The staff were helpful and the breakfasts good. The only downside from my stay was the noisy immediate neighbours on my last night. A drunken party, fighting, and foul language past 3am is hard to take especially when it is literally on your doorstep.

Room tip: Ask for a quiet Casita!

A great, comfortable casita, walking distance from the main Plaza area in Santa Fe. You are so close to all the highlights -- the Cathedral, Canyon Road, great restaurants etc. I highly recommend this place for someone looking to explore the city different.

The Chapelle Street Casitas are conveniently located three blocks from the Plaza, and within walking distance of all the main attractions and restaurants in the Santa Fe downtown area. The staff is very courteous and friendly, and knowledgeable of the area. Don’t hesitate to ask them for suggestions. They will gladly help you plan your day

These are not luxurious casitas; but they are spacious and clean. And the rates are very reasonable. The lodging includes continental breakfast which is served in the main office on McKenzie Street. Our casita was conveniently located next to the main office and our assigned parking space. The breakfast does not include hot dishes. It includes: cold cereal, cheeses, sweet/savory bread selection, pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and milk. It is substantial enough to keep you going in the morning. I must mention that they brew one of the best coffees in Santa Fe.

Bruce, one of the owners, is a nice gentleman and very accommodating. Jody and Karen take care of the office and also prepare the continental breakfast.

The casitas need some TLC; but they are an excellent value as they are. Our casita was equipped with small refrigerator, a two-burner hot plate, dishes glasses and utensils. The portable air conditioning unit was efficient enough to keep the casita cool during the afternoon. There is not daily housekeeping; but they supply enough towels for the length of your stay. Our bathroom was nice and spacious.

We have visited Santa Fe many times before, and this is the best value in Santa Fe. We will stay in this place next time we visit Santa Fe.

Room tip: If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for convenience, value, and a comfortable/clean place, then this is the place for you. This is the only residential section in the Santa Fe downtown area. One the best benefits is the assigned parking spaces. Our casita was located on McKenzie Street right next to main office and our assigned parking space.

My wife and I stayed at the Chapelle Street Casitas for our anniversary. Ours was one of the least expensive rooms, consisting of a bedroom and a bathroom only. The room was clean and comfortable. Our room was created when the owner dived up a house into four different living areas. All the rooms have private entrances and a place to park, which is import this close to the Plaza. The house was less than 0.3 miles from the Plaza - an easy walk. We had no issues with noise. Our room could have used some minor repairs, like a missing towel bar and some pealing paint near the entrance to the shower, but for the price and location, this was easy to overlook. If you are expecting a Hilton type of room, this is the not the place for you. This is a lower frill experience and each room has a unique character. Breakfast was provided and was good. Nothing warm is provided, but there was fresh cut fruit, yogurt, granola, sweet breads, hard boiled eggs, cheese, tea, coffee and juice. The food is served in a separate house that serves as the office and breakfast area. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
