Stayed for two nights in June 2006. Qasigiannguit is well-worth a visit and the Disko Bay Hotel is best place to stay there. The room was small and basic (e.g., the shower consisted of just a curtain and water tended to go everywhere); the bedding looked old and the TV was ancient. It has a restaurant and café, but the restaurant was being used by locals both nights we were there and so can’t vouch for it. The café offered basic food such as sandwiches, burgers etc – but it was good quality. This may all sound negative, but it isn’t – it’s just Greenland, and compared to other places we stayed in there, we really liked the Disko Bay Hotel because all the negatives were redeemed by the really friendly and helpful staff.
