Great central location in Qawra. Within 5 minutes walk of the promenade, a number of good eateries, a large free car park and the bus station.

They were deep in renovation work when we were ther but that didnt detract from our stay and when finished the hotel will be even better.

There is also a small roof top pool; staf are very friendly; prices are excellent - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Room tip: We had room 401 - very spacious with sidesea-view and small balcony

Visited Malta from Sunday 26 February to Sunday 4 March 2012 and stayed at this hotel.
We took advantage of the collection and delivery to/from the airport and are glad we did. We enjoyed very nice, safe and very informative journies.
In fact, on the way to the hotel, we got the first indication that refurbishment was in progress and, on arrival, we found that, although one could have breakfast, the bar and restaurant would not be open later in the day or in the evening.
Andrea and his staff were very apologetic that their web pages had not been updated and, in all fairness, more than adequately compensated us for not finding what we had been expecting. Their web pages have now been up-dated.
Though the rooms and fittings are a bit tired-looking and worn in places (hence the refurbishment), they are more than sufficient in providing everything that we needed for our self-catering holiday. Daily cleaning is included and good.
The staff in the hotel were always very polite, very cheerful and very helpful. They did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable.
The lift is slow but becomes a point of amusement after using it a few times.
Would we stay there again? Most certainly but we would check, with the staff prior to booking, what the current state of refurbishment was. Hopefully it will all be finished by the end of March 2012!
There are plenty of shops close to the hotel which sell everything you might need for self-catering. One word of warning: if you spend a certain amount, some shops give you a free bottle of local wine! They obviously have difficulty selling it!
We hired a car at the time of booking, to be delivered and collected from the hotel. Would now suggest that this be left until you arrive in Malta. There are plenty of hire firms near the hotel, you would know exactly what you were getting and there would be no delivery charge. Good luck on the awful roads.
Finally, try Churchill's. Just round the corner from the hotel, very good food and excellent staff. And good wine!

Room tip: We had a side-sea view on the 4th floor. Good sized lounge/kitchen/dining, small balcony, excellent double bedroom and bathroom/shower off that.

Dear boromover

Thanks for writing a review about your experience with us and thanks especially for your kind words about our staff.

We are pleased to inform you that the website is now being updated regularly and we are in the process of uploading new pictures of our refurbished areas and rooms. The refurbishment of the public areas (lobby and reception) have obviously been completed as well as some of the guest apartments, while the others are in the pipeline. Hopefully we will soon have a fully-refurbished property.

We do hope to see you at the Park Lane again some time soon. Feel free to contact us directly any time.

Kind regards

Melanie

Visited Park Lane in November for the 10th time and returning in May. Been visiting Malta since 1986 and been all over but since finding Park Lane we wouldn't go anywhere else. Every time we go there is something else been updated. This time we are looking forward to seeing the renovation of the connecting bar/restaurant. It's definitely a home from home and can't be faulted. The staff are more like friends and can't do enough to make your stay perfect. I tried to write a review before but wrote that much I lost it. It's perfectly located for the buses and plenty shops and bars around the area. I could go on and on but suffice to say we find it perfect in every way.

Just returned from half term family holiday staying here at the Park Lane Aparthotel. Very nice welcome from the extremely friendly, helpful staff who, were always courteous and solicitous, making sure we had everything we needed. Great apartment - so clean, well maintained and well equipped. Good location. Suited us very well. Ditto all the good things that everybody else has said. Couldn't fault it. Would not hesitate stay again or to recommend it.

We re-located to this hotel from another unsatisfactory appartment at very short notice. We were welcomed and shown a selection of rooms. The superior studio we chose was quckly made ready and we were made very welcome.

Everything that others have said is true with bells on! All the staff - Claudine, Barbara, Paul and of course Andreas the boss were always pro-actively helpful and worked as a great team.

Our room was kept spick and span by the wonderful Carmel who changed towels and sheets with amazing frequency and kept the apartment sparkling. Unfortunately she has a family and was unwilling to come to England and do the same for us at home!

We only went down to the restaurant for breakfast once, but it was really good and reasonable, with Barbara going that extra mile to provide warm pastries and croissants and willing to cook any combination of the usual ingredients.

All in all a most enjoyable experience with, as others have said, the staff making it a 'home from home' stay.
