We got a great rate on this fine hotel which made it even nicer. And, we were upgraded to a 2 bed bedroom, which we found very roomy, bathroom included. It is a short walk to the Pike Place Market, waterfront shops, and Belltown. Downtown shopping begins right out the front door, and a number of good restaurants are in the block or within easy walking distance as well. The Airport to Westlake light rail makes getting there a breeze. No car needed, as buses go everywhere. The only small negative is the need for the hotel to fix the other elevator to help peak time hotel movement.

After our Alaska seven day cruise, we decided to spend two days in Seattle site seeing. We stayed at the Roosevelt and were very pleased with the hotel, staff, and location. The rooms were very comfortable with flat screen TV and a small sink area. And yes, only one elevator was working - no big deal.
The location is something else. It's right in front of a very high end shopping mall with restaurants and a movie complex. It's walking distance from Pike's Market and many other interesting places and shops. You can even take the monorail to Seattle Center (Space Needle, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame) just a few block away.

I found the Roosevelt Hotel on Easy Click Travels.....very good value and THE PERFECT downtown location. Rooms could use a refresh, but clean and quiet. Elevator went out for about two hours and I had to hike to the 18th floor. Staff was very friendly and responsive to my needs. Given that I spent the entire trip out siteseeing, I'll return again and again for the price and value.

There are only two elevators in the whole hotel for both guests and service people. They never told us that one of the elevators was shut down for renovations. Apparently the working elevator had previously been shut down for the same thing for 2 months. So we waited 15 minutes for an elevator each time we entered or left the hotel. I knew this was going to be some experience when we pulled up to the valet booth. The valet was busy texting on his phone and never came out to help us. Another time there was no one in the valet booth. They were all across the street at Starbucks. Find another place. Seattle is a wonderful city and there are much better places to stay downtown.
