“Definitely One I Will Come Back To”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2009

I'm not sure where KAVRAV stayed, but I don't think he was at the same hotel I was. I found the place quite nice. The beds were comfortable, the towels thick and soft. No problem with the HVAC - kept the room quite comfortable and didn't keep from awake at all. The continental breakfast was good, nice selection. I plan to stay there again next year when I return for the convention. Being within walking distance of the Coliseum was a real plus!

“Overpriced, lacked amenities”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2009

For the price, $113, the Park Lane lacked comfort and style. The room was depressing. The linens/mattresses need upgrading to match the inflated cost. During my one night stay, I never saw another customer. Not even for breakfast. I think Prak Lane should make some upgrades to their accommadations and maybe more people would stay. After my first night, I moved to a Comfort Suites, paid a lot less than Park Lane and felt surrounded by comfort. I do not recommend this hotel to discriminating hotel consumers. I would like to say that that the front office gentleman was very nice, but he didn't make up for the substandard hotel.

“Very nice hotel, would stay again if in the area!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2009

This hotel was just what we were looking for. The room was very clean and comfy. The pool was very refreshing and the breakfast was just what we needed each morning. The location was great for us. Would recommend to anyone traveling to the Greensboro area.

“Adequate. A place to put your head down and that's it...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 March 2008

I needed a hotel for a one-night stay in Greensboro while I was in town for a concert. A number of hotels were booked and we settled on this one. It is about one mile, and walking distance, from the Greensboro Coliseum.

On the outside the hotel is somewhat impressive. The front desk staff were courteous and helpful. The lobby was clean and pleasant. They give you a four digit code in which you pass through a gate and park your car in the rear. Based on the lobby and outside appearance--this is a three star property.

However, the room was lacking. The room was generously sized but had much wear around the edges. The towels were paper thin, the sheets cheap, and it was evident the room likely has the same furnishings since being placed in the room in the '80s or early '90's. The clock radio was flashing 12:00 and the handle to the bathroom door seemed ready to fall off. The air conditioner was incredibly loud and we had to turn it on the 'fan' setting just to be able to sleep.

Overall, this is a adequate hotel. I felt safe, you get a free breakfast buffet with your room (not great but again, adequate), and its a decent place to stay. However, I believe this hotel is a bit past its prime and needs a major renovation. If you have to spend more than one night here and don't mind spending a few more dollars, I would suggest exploring other options. If you are a undiscriminating traveller just looking for a basic place to stay, this is not a bad choice.

  • Liked — Decent location to Greensboro Coliseum
  • Disliked — Loud air conditioner, worn out past-its-prime room furnishings

Our all around experiance was great. It was an average limites service hotel. The front desk went out of their way to help me. The staff was very knowledgable and helpful.
The rooms wer clean, and breakfast was good.

Give them a try, you will be happily surprised! I certianly was.
