Came for a weekend night stay. Dumpy, but reasonable lobby area. Then we entered the elevator, which was small, dimly lit, and resembled something from NYC circa 1980. The hallway carpets were old and worn out. The room had a smoking odor, and the bathroom was also from the seventies. There was no closet, there was an exposed rod for hanging clothes. The room seemed to have had an attempt at renovation, but not very good.We called down to the front desk about the room, and they could do little as our room was one of their best. It seems the king bed and scary looking wirlpool bath was an upgrade.Needless to say, we immediately checked out and sought other accomodation. It was definately not worth the price that they were charging. The hotel is owned by the same group who owns the Grand Over resort, a much nicer property, but double the price.
