I must say - the staff greeted us and treated us so well. The room we got was on the 3rd floor and facing East Bay. The traffic noise seemed endless. The a/c is the kind that cycles on and off, so we were hot and cold all night, even when we set the fan on "Low" rather than "Auto". We used one of the trash cans to keep the curtain from blowing up every time the a/c came on. We were also close to the ice machine, which seemed to drain constantly and would be heard in use late into the night. Could not have asked for a better hotel location, other than maybe the Hyatt. It was close to the free DOT transportstion system - a good way to see part of the historic district and starts about 11 a.m. The parking is a little crazy there, but they do have an underground garage. They have banana, apples, and coffee/hot water out all the time, and at about 5 - hot M & M cookies. They have a cooperative deal with the bar in the Holiday Inn Express across the street, so you can go over there and bring drinks back. The soda machines are on all the even floors and the snack machines are on the odd floors. The hot water coming out of the tap was scortching hot - watch your children. We had to leave...More
