The Extended Stay in Savannah is a great deal. I stayed here for 5 days in March 2003. The hotel is really very nice, especially for such a bargain price. The entrance and lobby is very attractive, the front desk staff were very friendly, my room was very nice (2 double beds, tv, recliner, air conditioner you control, nice bathroom), and the best part is the kitchenette. It contains a large refrigerator, a microwave, a sink, cabinets with dishes, silverware, and pots, and a stove top. This can save you alot of money on meals. Even if you don't end up cooking much the large refrigerator is great for cold drinks, storing leftovers, and sandwich supplies. Remember to bring your own paper towels, sponge & dish detergent though. Or, stop for them at the Publix grocery store located in a nice little plaza just down the road. I loved this grocery store and the plaza also has a nice cafeteria style restaurant and alot more. Note: Abercorn is one of the divided median streets with interesting turn around spots etc, but its easy to get used to. I only wish I had the time to stay for 7 days since the last two would have been free with the weekly rate! I will stay here again.
