We had a wonderful 6 night stay at the Lucerne in January. The Upper West Side location was great (close to subway, Central Park, museums) and it was good to be away from the hyper activity of midtown. Hotel is nothing flashy but clean, comfortable and extremely quiet. Highly recommended.

I've stayed here 2x now. Both trips were for academic conferences so I needed sleep and quiet on my down time. The hotel is well appointed, clean, great sheets, comfy mattress, perfect size gym with all the right equipment. I sleep better here than at home! Keep up the good work.

While hotel is located in a more residential area of New York, it is very close to Central park, museum of Natural History, and not far from Lincoln Center, and lots of good restaurants and shops but without the craziness of mid-town. And subway is only half a block away, which gets you everywhere easily (10 minutes to Times Square). Helpful staff and pleasant decor. Ask for quiet room because there is noise from traffic on Broadway.

My family loved this hotel. It seems exclusive, but at the same time you are made to feel extremely comfortable. Staff is friendly, rooms are adequately spacious and well appointed. Most importantly, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel is located in a great part of town.

The upper west side has a number of fantastic restaurants and plenty to do. We stayed there because it is only a few blocks from the Museum of Natural History and Central Park. We discovered another interesting park on the west side of manhattan just a quick stroll from the hotel. It was one of those moments when you find something unexpected and wonderful that makes you feel like you discovered a place only locals would know!

We also enjoyed the attached restuarant Nice Matin. It is a bit pricey, but the food was very well prepared and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

My husband is not a fan of NYC, but he felt quite at home here. This is a hotel I would like to stay in again.
