The Hotel is quite a sight in itself. The rooms are nice (not very large, but very good for New York City standard). The location of the Hotel is fabulous - very, very central, but you pay for what you get.

All major broadway/42nd Street attractions are in walking distance as well as Times Square and even Central Park can be reached on foot.

Highly recommendable is a night on the spinning top floor bar (aptly named The View) - have dinner or drinks high above the city and get a nice view all around - amazing at night.

The hotel is located at one of the best locations i.e. at the times square. But they do not have any family activities or a swimming pool to relax. The location is worth it but its too expensive for a family stay.

Stayed here for a week before heading across the USA touring 28 of the states. Hotel was awesome and they gave me a great room looking down over Time Square. Very helpful staff and the Housekeeper was super, after 1 day she realised I liked my coffee and always left extra there for me all the way through my stay. It was just a small thing but well noticed and remembered.
Make sure you visit the revolving restaurant also as the food was great and the view super, don't go too early, leave the city go a bit dark!

This hotel was wonderful. However it is right smack in the middle of Times Square. This fortunately was what we needed as I was traveling with family members who were directionally challenged. It was extemely nice to come back here after a day of sightseeing. Seriously every time we would wonder where the heck we were ...we would look for the New Years Ball or the Billboards by the Hotel and be fine. Subway is close by. Rooms were comfy and quiet. They even had some guy standing just outside the elevators waiting if you needed directions. Would stay again!

My husband and I stayed at the Marquis for the weekend of Valentine's Day. Overall hotel was nice and well kept, breakfast was great though a bit pricey, and staff was friendly (except for our waitress at breakfast in the Encore Restaurant who kept checking up on us to see how much food we were getting from the buffet, which was very expensive by the way!!). Also, I needed to use the business center computer and it was VERY expensive for only an hour!! It was a nice hotel, though rooms are very small. Would probably stay again.
