We stayed at this hotel several years ago and decided to go back there to spend the 4th of July in NYC. First of all, it is right on Times Square. The location cannot be beat. The hotel is simply beautiful and the service is excellent. The rooms are very nice and surprisingly very quiet, even though the hotel is in the heart of the City. As it is centrally located, everything is within walking distance and cabs and buses are not hard to get. Within a few blocks are excellent dining and obviously entertainment choices.
The View bar at the top of the hotel is a must see. It states that it is the only revolving restaurants in NYC and it does offer unparralleled views. Drink and dining prices were a little high, but not unreasonable.
Basically, this hotel offers everything you would want in a stay in NYC. I think it is better priced than some of the comparable hotels in the same area and has more amenities (such as the dining options) than other hotels. Basically the only negatives I had were that the rooms did not have a fridge (nowhere to keep cold drinks or leftovers... and milk in case anyone has small children) and that they charged $16.95 per day for internet. Not even the Starbucks on the 1st floor had free wifi.More
