The hotel itself has a beautiful location on Boston Harbor. My wife and I arrived at the hotel last night after two long flights from Barcelona, Spain. I am a Platinum member with Hyatt. Mr. Deshawn Alford saw how exhausted we were when we arrived. Because we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, he was kind enough to upgrade us to a spectacular suite! He even gave us certificates for the breakfast buffet. Mr. Alford is a class act who is a tremendous asset to the Hyatt chain! His professionalism and competence sets him apart from 99% of front desk employees that I have ever encountered; and I travel a lot!

I loved this hotel when I visited in 2012, but now it is looking very tired and worn around the edges. Towels in my room were threadbare and grey, soap dish cracked, sheets had snagged threads, leather foot stool badly scuffed, poor repairs to soap holder in bath, phone in my room didn't work. No mini bar. Window dirty with oily handprints, which somewhat marred the lovely view. Sadly, the view is the only thing left going for this hotel.

Room tip: Request a harbour view.

Hello and thank you so much for taking the time to write a review about your experience. I am disapointed to hear your comments about the the room. I am happy to let you know the hotel is undergoing a room renovation which is scheduled to begin later this year and be completed by March 2015. We certainly hope if your travels bring you back to the Boston area you allow us a second chance.

Upgrade to the harbor view- you will NOT be disappointed! Pros: friendly staff; beautifully renovated rooms; outdoor seating; clean (with one exception), value; proximity to the airport; excellent dining (breakfast buffet had usual standard offerings but the QUALITY was excellent). Cons: too far from city for my needs; the mattress in room 5021 was a glaring disappointment & clearly a remnant from the past- it was stained, lumpy, & I felt like I would roll right off of it if I neared the edge.

Never book this hotel through Hotels.com! From the moment we arrived the front desk person kept referring to us as "Hotel.com bookers" and when I asked about my room all I was told was to contact Hotel.com directly for any and all questions I had.

First- my room was filthy (see photos). The bedsheets were torn and stained and the nightstand had layers of food/filth caked on it.

Second- I had booked a water view room. I faced the runway, definitely not a water view.

Third- We couldn't enjoy the outdoor view! The restaurant had all of the outdoor chairs taken for diners use, even the Adirondack chairs off to the side without a dining table. There wasn't a place to sit and enjoy the view that we didn't have to use the restaurant service for.

Fourth- The room was so loud, all night long you could hear everything in the hallways and other rooms.

Lastly- Everything was extra at this hotel. The parking was $$$, then you had to pay to use wifi and had to pay per sheet of paper to use the printer.

I've stayed at much less expensive hotels in the Boston airport area that have provided so much better service!

My only plus was that the water taxi landing was right there so it was only a few minutes ride to the Long Wharf.

I stayed here when I visited Boston last time. They r doing something just right! Very friendly and helpful Front Office people. 24 hours airport shuttle. The view of the harbor is just mind blowing! Water taxis r fun n convenient. Even staff that speak Mandarin which made me feel like home! Overall a good experience. Will be my first choice next time when I'm back in Boston. Thanks. X Sarah
