“Understated Motel That's More B&B, For Both Humans and Dogs!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2010

Great home base for exploring the mount adams area, which is just beautiful. This is not your average motel by the highway. This is more B&B/inn with that same homely and warm touch. Big, clean rooms and comfy beds, for both man/woman and dog alike! Our dog didn't even want to sleep in his own bed that we brought from home. Oh, the stars on the ceiling were a nice touch! And we woke up to birds chirping outside the rooms in front of open fields. And, we had a great breakfast spread waiting. Which we tucked into after we took the dog to the park just 10 steps from the inn, which had picnic tables, a hammock, and poo bags. And there's more, we didn't get to use the hot tub or the bbq pits! Highly recommended!

“LOVE THIS MOTEL!!!”

I am greatful for finding this awesome motel when they first opened. Took a chance because word of mouth from the man who helped build it. Have been there numerous times, mostly with girlfriends for a quick overnight getaway. But also took my husband twice. Have never been let down, My husband and I have traveled extensively and have never had such awesome hosts as with Dave & Carly. They have always accomodated our needs. There truly is nothing to do but relax and enjoy the calm. Although on our way there, we always stop at BZ Corner for their famous fried chicken. I never thought I'd stay at a "motel." But I wouldn't call this a motel, it's more like a lodge with a fabulous breakfast with personalized service. We will definitely return again soon.

“A Once-in-a-Lifetime-Motel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2009

My friends and I have traveled the world and came to the conclusion that this is one of the finest places we have ever stayed. The attention to detail paid by Dave, Carly and Sarah is unparalleled. Their warmth and energy pervade the place. The rooms are beautiful and impeccably clean, the breakfast they provide is delicious, and the little park across the parking lot is tranquil and inviting. We've never felt so pampered.

“A wonderful, relaxing stay with friendly folks.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2009

We stayed two nights in large, comfortable rooms. The motel has only 13 rooms and provides a delicious, continental breakfast with waffels, upon request. The free internet connection is strong. The owners are very friendly and readily share information about the area. Trout Lake consists mainly of a General Store, a gas station and two eating establishments. Come prepared to enjoy the beautiful views of Mt. Adams, the hiking trails and the friendly people who live in the area. A small park and fast moving creek grace the grounds of the motel. We had a wonderful stay and particularly enjoyed picking wild huckleberries, for which the area is known.
