Lots of nice extra touches you'd expect in a B&B instead of a motel - fresh flower boxes, nice soaps, hammock by the creek, fresh wild huckleberries on the waffles.

This was my first trip out west visiting family. My brother and I were traveling from North Bend OR to Mount St. Helen's when we needed a place to stay. My brother contacted information for Trout Lake Washington and asked if they could give us the number for any hotel in the area. They gave us the number for the Trout Lake hotel and gave us directions. We were not sure what to expect but we were pleasantly suprised. The owners thought of everything. Our room was so beautiful and clean, not to mention the Teddy Bears and mint's on the beds, and a rubber duckie in the shower. The lobby was inviting and the dining area very clean and welcoming. There was a lot of thought that went in to making anyone's stay at the Trout Lake Hotel worth coming back to. I live in Sanford Maine but I will be back.

This motel is a quiet gem in Trout Lake. Everything about it says "welcome", from the cozy lobby to the friendly touches by the owners. Don't go by their Web page, because there's more the place like a great breakfast, satellite TV and a hot tub. Also, it's VERY dog friendly. In fact, they had a nice dog bed in the room. Breakfast when we stayed was sweet potato waffles, along with the usual continental breakfast stuff.

We'll definitely be back.

I cannot say enough good things about the Trout Lake Motel. It is very clean and decorated in a charming manner. The grounds are lovely and the sweet potato waffles are made for just for you when you wander in for the continental breakfast. The owners are warm and friendly and very helpful. My only regret is that we were there for only one night ... next time we will plan on staying longer in this beautiful place.
