We stayed 6 nights nights and this lovely hotel and family made our visit unforgettable. They are at your service and always attentive, and your stay is guaranteed to be memorable. It is across the street from the beaches and marina.
Levanto is a small village just north of the Cinque Terre and are so glad we stayed at this hotel. Many activities are accessible from this hotel and location, as well as many necessary amenities like a super mercator, lavanderia and train station that stops at all the cinque terre villages and Le spezia.
I believe all rooms have a balcony, and our faced the front and sea. A small 'loaded with beverages and snacks' refrigerator is also in the room, so you can enjoy a 'happy hour' before your evening dinner....or just relax and people watch.
Some of the activities we did was scuba dive (north end of the beach, in the marina area). Dive schedule is 9, 12 and 3 and you can speak to Dario or Alberto to arrange. A dive with all the equipment is about $50 euros. Then we rented a boat (see Marco at the south end of the beach, near the coast guard office). There are kayaks, canoes, paddle boats and small motorized boats. We rented a small motor boat w a canopy and saw cinque terre from the sea and snorkeled in small coves. We docked the boat in Venazza and had a nice lunch in the piazza by the sea. it was an amazing day. Another day we took a bike ride and It was wonderful. The bike trail is a well established trail that runs along the breathtaking sea, and is not strenuous. In fact riding thru the tunnels, which is part of the ride to Bonasolla, was well lite and very cool. There are small coves you can detour and sunbath or snorkel, so take your mask and flippers with you. We stopped and had lunch in Bonasolla, and just north of the beach, you will see a small chapel perched up on the cliff. Since we had our bikes and followed the signs to 'Madonna Della Punta', and we were rewarded in seeing this small chapel up close. Make sure camera is also in tow, because the photos of the chapel, sea and town are simply divine. We then made our way down to the cliff area (not too difficult), for a swim and laid on the rocks. Amazing. And not a soul in sight. We also had a small informal cooking class and learned about regional herbs and cooking with them. Claudio, from www.acasa5terre.it, gave us an unforgettable lesson, including dinner and an evening of Italian culture. Of course, we did some trekking on the Cinque Terre trails, and that too was nice....but that's what everyone does.
All these activities are possible from this hotel, and we had a super time. I'd give this hotel 6 stars, if I could.
