My husband and I originally spent a night here in February for a marriage conference. Our room was on the first floor and had high ceilings, a very comfortable king bed and was very clean. When I booked myself and two other friends to attend another conference in October, I immediately made a reservation here (this was back in the spring). I requested two queen beds. When my friends and I got to the hotel the lady at the front desk informed us that were getting a king room with a pullout couch. I informed her this was not what I booked and she told me that all the other rooms were sold out. I told her I booked our room back in the spring (it's October now, mind you), and she would not budge. Then I inquired about the breakfast included rate to ensure we were getting it like I had booked and she said "well, two of you will get it, but not the third one." I kept my mouth shut though and we went to our room. One of my friends decided to take her shower that evening and the water came out a muddy brown. We called the front desk and that matter was taken care of immediately. The pullout couch was horrible and I was very disappointed that I had booked two queen beds to get thrown under the bus and have to sleep in those circumstances. The next morning, we go to breakfast and the gentleman says our room is not on the breakfast list. I pulled out my receipt to show him we had the breakfast included rate and he did allow all three of us to get our breakfast with no charge. The breakfast was nice, but I will still disappointed int he overall experience this time. I come to Lynchburg twice yearly for Christian conferences at Liberty University, and I believe I will have to choose to stay somewhere else next time.
