After many years of traveling, I first check the mattress when I check-in to a hotel/motel. Mattresses clean. The room has been updated but the bathrooms have not been. Cobwebs at the ceiling in the room, dirty a/c filter, dirt hanging from the bathroom vent/fan (I cleaned it for them). For the money, it was acceptable. If I were going to stay more than one night, I would have made a phone call. We went to Wal-Mart and bought a coffee maker (those one cuppers don't work for 2 coffee drinkers! The MOST important thing to me is the bugs...This room was clean (of bugs)...Enjoy!

Last month I traveled through TN on business. Stayed at Best Western for 1 night. I found the hotel clean and the continental breakfast was good. The room had a resent redo with new mattress and bedding. The hotel is in a good location. I had a coupon for $10.00 off and guy at check in accepted it . For the price I paid I felt it was a good deal. I would/will stay again.

Room was infested with cockroaches. I left after one night, but manager refused to authorize Expedia.com to refund my money for second night (that I didn't stay).

I am usually a big fan of Best Western, however, was a bit disappointed by this visit. The smell in the room was unbearable - we had to buy air fresheners to help get rid of the smoke smell. It was a non-smoking room. We mentioned to the manager when he asked if everything was okay when checking out and he did not seem to care. The rooms were decent other than the smell which was absorbed by our clothes, etc... We tried breakfast one morning but the lines were too long and it was a small space.
