Unfortunately we only had one night there, but it was a cozy cottage on our way to the Grampians. Two bedrooms, bath, kitchen and a barbecue and porch in a lovely rural area. Restaurant choices in town were few and not very good. Plan on cooking your own meals.

If you want a pleasant stay in the bush without camping, these cottages are perfect which are equipped with all right amenities including a kitchen.
The grounds & surrounds are very well maintained.
It's very close to the Royal Mail Hotel.
It's a one hour drive to Halls Gap so plan for the long drive.
The owners are super nice & helpful. Don't forget to grab their free range eggs laid by the hens roaming the gardens.

Our family of four (including 14 year old boy and 12 year old girl) enjoyed our one night stay immensely! The cottages are well stocked with everything you need and more. Location perfect and close to great walks. We stayed towards the end of our trip along the Great Ocean Road and the children didn't want to go out for dinner, wanted to just spend time at the cottage. So we had a lovely BBQ and the kids spent time outside then we watched one of the many DVDs available for hire. The only negative is we couldn't stay longer!

Room tip: We stayed in one of the family cottages and it was perfect.

We are staying at southern grampians cottages for the 4th time in November 2014. It has been excellent previously in every respect each time. The owners are genuine generous people who make you feel very welcome. No request has been too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable, easy access and well kept.

Room tip: All cabins are separate. Choose the no.of bedrooms and beds that suit. We like #2 if it is available .
