I have stayed with Maurice, Aislling, and his family on each trip to Roundstone (3 thus far). I am going back in March and hope to be staying again. My wife and I have traveled extensively in Ireland, staying at many different B&Bs. Honestly, we have never had a bad experience in any of the B&Bs. Some have been better than others, but all have been very good. I am sure we could find something to complain about - no place is perfect, but overall, our experiences have been very good. Having said that, our best B&B memories and experiences have been at the Island House. The combination of location, hosts, and service. Maurice is genuinely interested in making sure his guests’ needs are met to their satisfaction. But it goes further than that. He is genuinely interested in his guests’ experiences during their stay and is always available for suggestions and advice on places to see and visit. Life does tend to slow down in Roundstone, and there is not better place to start getting slow than the Island View with Maurice and Aisling.

Island View, what can i say, a stunning place to stay. We spent 3 nights in Roundstone with the best view's coming from Iand View's top bedroom, where we could spend hour's looking at the beautiful views from the window. Maurice & Aisling are impeccable hosts with excellent standards through out the whole b&b. We are in the process of booking another week for "the Roundstone Regatta" in July, can't wait to go!!

We arrived in Roundstone by chance late on a windy September night. My husband spotted IslandView and a blazing fire in the front room. Maurice greeted us at the front door and promptly offered us freshly brewed coffee and the most amazing home made scones that I have ever tasted. Upstairs our room was spotless and tastefully decorated to hotel standard. We had the best sleep of the trip and awoke to stunning views of the mountains and the sea. My only regret was that we could not stay an extra night as our flight was leaving from Shannon the following evening.We come to Ireland every year and we will definitely return for more of Maurice's hospitality.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this B&B and loved every minute of it. Maurice was extremely welcoming and continuously provided us with excellant breakfasts!! Having not planned our trip as well as we thought, we were stuck getting back to Shannon Airport for our return flight home, and Maurice was constantly on the phone to bus companies, trying to organise our trip home for us. As if he didn't have enough on his plate, he got up extra early and gave us a lift to the bus stop. We were extremely grateful. Rooms modern, clean with a fantastic view of the bay. Highly recommended and will definitley be returning next summer. Thank you Maurice!
