We stayed five nights at the John Rutledge House Inn and it was nothing short of a fantastic experience. The historic charm, warm and friendly service, and very comfortable accommodations all contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable visit to a great American city. The Rutledge is a great representation of what Charleston is all about. We typically don't eat breakfast but found ourselves looking forward to the Inn's great southern breakfasts that are served at the time of your choice.
The Rutledge is part of Charming Inns who also own and operate Circa 1880 -- in our opinion the best dining spot in Charleston. We had dinner there on our last night and it was terrific--great way to end a terrific visit.More
