We had a very nice time in our "fireplace suite" room. This room, 320, is on the top floor and directly above the lobby/office. Picture windows-no balconies. No elevators...stairs only. Separate swimming pool (no spa/hottub).
Living room: appointed with a kitchenette, dishes & cooking items, hide-a-bed sofa (king?), armchair, TV (tube), cable TV, fridge, microwave, large picture window. Carpet is standard...clean...not showing wear. Floor fan provided.
Bathroom: standard (they are renovating all of them...not yet on this room.
Bedroom: queen bed...firm and not "rutted" (seemed fairly new), tube TV, no DVD.
Storage: plenty of hangers and coves to place your clothing in, as well as dressers and drawers.
We were here Saturday thru Thursday. Room and surroundings were quiet. Gas fireplace worked fine, but as there is no A/C, it warms the place up quickly...especially if the outside temp hits 55 degrees. Only negative I found of the room was that the bedroom got warm at night. We like it around 64 degrees, but it was too warm. Solution: used the floor fan at night to blow cool air down the hall. A bit noisy but a workable solution. Glad that was the only negative.
Housekeeping was always ready to clean...as late as 4 pm...and did a fine job.
Location is fine and dandy, near many good restaurants, grocery stores, etc.
The continental breakfast has everything you'd expect except for waffles. Milk, OJ, yogurt, cereal, pastries, coffee/tea/cocoa...everything is in separate containers to allow you to take it to your room (which is encouraged...its not a large office to eat in.) Cookies are available in the evening.
Also offered a AAA discount off the rack rate (except for weekends/holidays...their most busy time.)
Again, a great time here made so by beautiful weather, friendly caring staff, and a very nice to excellent room.
