This is the second time we've camped at The Malanda Falls Caravan Park and it was just as warm and friendly as the first time. We have two boys and the first thing they did was race out of the car to see the calf, chickens and ducks. The children even got to help bottle feed the calf. The camping area's lovely, green & so spacious. There's heaps of room for the children to run around. Campfires are also allowed which are nice to huddle around on cold evenings. We woke up to the sound of the waterfall & the kookaburras laughing. Last time we even saw a tree kangaroo. The table tennis and air hockey tables were also a hit for young and not so young. A really pretty spot in a great location. Kylie made us feel very welcome and was also very helpful with anything we needed to know.

We stayed 3 nights and felt like we were in the rainforest. Right beside Malanda Falls with rainforest walks nearby. Spacious sites, amenities are clean and owners are very pleasant and helpful.
It was a very relaxing stay.

The park is beautiful, friendly and tranquil.

The cabins have all the basic necessities, although you notice they are quite small when the weather keeps you inside, they are still quite comfortable, and great value for those of us that aren't towing a caravan.

Although essentially clean, they are clearly in need of a proper deep-cleaning to address small areas of accumulated grime. I think if the very pleasant owners make the time to walk through the cabins etc with an impartial & critical eye, they would see what I mean. This in no way detracted from our stay in a great part of Queensland, but it would be disingenuous to connect the high ratings for the park itself, with the on-site accommodation, which, in terms of overall, nitty gritty cleanliness, falls a little below par quite frankly.

I mention this only to give the busy owners some genuine feedback directly in regard to the cabins/villas.

Thank-you for your review. Malanda Falls Caravan park is one of Australia's most historic and oldest parks as such maintenance is our highest priority. We are aware that the units have improvements to be made as are nearly 40 years old. Yesterday we received the good news from TRC that new kitchens will be installed early in the new financial year. Significant improvements will commence at the park shortly including a new herb garden for guests to use for free, putt putt golf course, remote control offroad track, new tiling in all amenities, new kitchens and much more. We can assure all our highly valued guests that all amenities and park facilities are maintained at the highest level - new kitchens will obviously increase our ability to achieve this. We look forward to your return visit to see these improvements - We are very confident you will be very impressed. It is very important to receive constructive feedback such as yours, which assists us in improving the park to the high standards we set for ourselves and our guests expect. Thanks again.

We had only planned to stay one night but it was so great here we booked another night. We stopped in a camper van on a powered site. The sites are spacious and off set so you're not too close to your neighbours. We got to feed the resident calf with his morning milk and chatted to the owners, who were extremely friendly and helpful. The amenities are clean and spacious. Great walks on the doorstep through the park into the rainforest and the Malanda Falls. One of the best sites we've stayed at, really loved it here. Definitely try it out, you won't be disappointed and it was a bargain too at $22.

We had a lovely time at this park. Kylie was so helpful in telling us where to see tree kangaroos and platypus. Unfortunately we didn't see any but was assured they were there.Other campers saw them. Lots of things to do around there or just relax. We came for 4 nights and ended up staying for 7. So lovely having the falls right next to the park and even though we don't have a dog the dogs that were there were very well behaved. Plenty of space for the van. Very quiet. If we are ever up this way again we would definitely come back.
