Got a good price on Hotwire, although you can get the same price (or better) by calling the hotel directly.
The hotel is fine -- in good shape, appears clean, and descent staff (except the elevator was a bit smelly).
My big complaint was the long line for check-in when we arrived at mid-night. There were 11 people ahead of us in line, and more came after us. Clearly this is a popular time because travelers from the airport arrive and come here, and others get stuck here from bad weather. The problem was the hotel only had one person working when clearly this is a busy time -- and at midnight, let's face it, people are tired and grumpy. Waiting in line for over half an hour is not high on the list of things you want to do around midnight. We did not get our hotel room until 1 AM.
Two points made it worse:
1) a bunch of airline staff also stayed here, and whenever they arrived they would cut to the front of the line. So in addition to the 11 people in front of my, we had probably 8 airline staff cut in front of us (with permission from the front desk clerk).
2) The lobby has a sign proclaiming "Linda Williams: Hotel Manager on Duty" -- yet Ms. Williams never showed up to help out the front desk clerk while he slowly trudged through checking in all the guests.
Oh, last point, we ended up with a non-smoking room because we booked through Hotwire, but others in front of us were told they were not getting a non-smoking room (even though it was in their agreement). I don't think this is Hotwire specific -- probably they would have given preference to all 3rd party booking systems (hotels.com, expedia, etc.) since they don't want to lose their business.
That said because of its location, price and otherwise good quality, I would stay here again -- just maybe not if I'm arriving late at night and expect to be tired.
