I recently came through Syracuse on business. Had no idea about the City and wanted to stay in a place centrally located with access to local bars, restaurants etc.
Great Location: Two blocks from the best bars and restaurants in town. Al's Wine and Whiskey is awesome and a block away. University is walkable and cab back is about 10 bucks.
Great Staff: In the morning they have continental breakfast with omelet station and at night they have social hour with free wine and apps. All staff are helpful, nice, and accommodating.
Great Hotel: The hotel itself is a cool old building, part of the National Historic Hotels of America. The rooms are nothing insane but nice. They have a sign in the bathroom which lists the many things they will provide for you if you forgot them (toothbrush, razor, etc.). Also late check out (2pm) is awesome.
If I ever go back, I am definitely staying there. That was probably the most welcome I've ever felt staying at a hotel.More
