We were on the third leg of our 3 day journey through central PA and western NY. Our children were happy to get out of the car and check out our new hotel room. What we found was the same as the previous two hotels in Shamokin Dam, PA and DuBois, PA. Clean room, courteous staff and good value.
Make no mistake, this is a three-star hotel, nothing more, nothing less. The pool was clean and well maintained (but no hot-tub). The breakfast was well stocked with all the same things we saw at previous hotels; and when things did run out, they were replenished within minutes, without having to complain. Luggage carts were always available and a big help with a family on the road.
Our biggest beef? Well, the directions to the hotel from Google maps was off the mark by several miles. We were pointed in the right direction, but the destination point wasn't even close to where the hotel was. This is not really the hotel's fault, but perhaps they could notify the fine folks at Google to let them know where their hotel is. But what made it more frustrating was the fact that the hotel currently has no sign on the Interstate or beside the state route indicating where the hotel is. For future travellers, note that the hotel is tucked behind the Denny's Restaurant. We missed it on the first pass!
We would definitely stay again, we weren't disappointed.
