I stayed there with my wife back in June 2009 and the room we had was not very clean. Spot on the duvet and carpet not freshly vacuumed. Having stayed at other Courtyards before, I did not feel this met the quality we usually get. The rooms are nice with nice furniture, but it could be much better if they managed to clean better.

It's probably not the best spot either in Lake Placid as you are away from the town main shopping street. There are other hotels closer which have a better spot and probably as competitive with the price.

The staff that was there that night was also not very understandive and actually a bit rude. We talked to the manager about some issues we had with the service and he did not offer excuses. I think we will definitely try another hotel in our next stay in Lake Placid.

This hotel has big, clean, comfortable rooms. It's a short drive to town or you can take a free shuttle that stops by the hotel. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Lake Placid.

Beautiful Courtyard is a lovely area. Designed slightly different than most, looks like the The Wilderness Lodge. Clean rooms.

Stayed there 1 night taking my daughter to camp. Initially had a room on the 1st floor with 2 queens. Furnishings were fine, but we thought the room seemed a little damp. Maybe because there is an indoor pool on the 1st floor? Don't know. Anyway, I mentioned it to the staff and we got moved right away to the 3rd floor...seemed better to us.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good restaurant suggestions as well. Hotel is not right in town, but Main Street is kind of a "strip" along Mirror Lake. Personally, I had no problem being a little out of town. There is a shuttle that can take you into town.
