“The best place I've stayed in Mt. Laurel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 March 2009

Over the past five years I have stayed at every hotel on the Mt. Laurel/Rt 73 strip and the Westin has beat them all - for comfort, cleanlienss, service and value. This is a new hotel and it beams. Staff from bellman, to front desk, to waiters and housekeeping are equal to any of the luxury hotels I've stayed at throughout the world. Their attention to detail is spot on.

My stay was for five nites, as I was there for a wedding. And never, did I have a complaint about the place. For once, a heating/ac system that made no noise and 71 degrees was 71 degrees. And bonus, a window that opened to let the fresh air in.

The furniture and decor was sophisticated. And of course, the heavenly bed from mattress to duvet just wrapped me in elegance.

I do agree that the prices in the restaurant were high. A coffee, fruit and cherrios...$27.00 made me look elsewhere for my meal. But there are plenty of restaurants in the area.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. And the Westin will be my preferred hotel when visiting family.

One more thing, the wedding was at this hotel too. It is a terrific venue!

“This was our second stay and the hotel is very nice.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2009

We were visiting family in the area and the rates at the Westin, Mt. Laurel, were better than some lesser hotels in the area. The hotel is new and was very comfortable and convenient to major roads in the area - NJ Turnpike, Rt. 295, Rt. 73.

“Absolutely fantastic!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 March 2009

My husband and I took our 2 girls (13 & 8) on a weekend getaway and we ended up at the Westin in Mt. Laurel. It was close to a Fun Plex for the kids and they also wanted to swim, so the hotel was the perfect choice.

Hotel
This hotel is 9 months old and is beautiful. It has a very nice swimming pool and fitness area. We stayed on the 7th floor and because it was a slow weekend, there was only 1 other family on that floor...wonderful!!

Room
The room was very nice; there is a huge tub and stand alone shower with 2 showerheads that was wonderful. There is a mini bar and some snacks in the room which are expensive, but if you don't feel like going to the vending machine, it works out fine. The beds were, of course, very comfortable. We all slept like babies.

Staff
The staff was GREAT. They were very friendly and extremely proficient. We got checked in and given an overview of the hotel before being sent up to our room.

Restaurant
The restaurant is called the Bellagio and the food and service were excellent. They were very attentive and made sure we were enjoying our experience. I had salmon, my husband had a huge juicy steak cooked to perfection and our kids each had pasta. We were all very pleased with our meals.

After a great dinner, we went back to our room, rented a movie and drifted off to sleep...our girls can't wait to go back! Little do they know...my husband and I have already planned to go back....without them!! :-)

“Great experience at the Westin”

We used Hotwire and picked the town b/c it was halfway to our home and we needed a place to stay overnight. With Hotwire, you don't know the hotel you're getting until you pay for it. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel seems to be brand new (opened less than 6 months ago). The front desk staff were very friendly - Hotwire booked us a double room, and I asked for king when we got there. We had no problems making the switch.

We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant - the Bellagio. It is expensive ($100 for two, including tax, tip and a bottle of wine), but it is very much worth it. The service was impeccable. They don't assign just one waiter to you...they all share the responsibility. The food was delicious - traditional Italian fare. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Most comfortable seats I've ever been in at a restaurant. All in all, the restaurant contributed to a very relaxing evening.

“Clean, but expensive”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2008

Positive aspects of The Westin:

* Very clean and new feeling
* Comfortable beds/pillows, etc.
* Large bathroom

Negative aspects of The Westin:

* Charged my debit card $100 upon check-in without telling, as a security deposit. 24 hours after check-out, and still no refund of my money.
* EVERYTHING is expensive. Forget about room service, or eating at the hotel. $14 for a cup of yogurt with granola was a pretty funny example.

If your looking for a clean hotel, book, but be VERY cautious with their billing.
