this place is adorable. so perfect for a couple. . nice kitchen so you don't have to eat out all the time. a porch to enjoy the night breezes the beach just a few steps away close to everything. we only used the car to fo to the lighthhouse. this is late in the season October 27th) so not many places were open but our favorite is Uncle Wills and that was open and the fudge place (LUCILLES) was open and what more do you need at the beach but the beautiful ocean, fudge and a good place to eat breakfast we had a great time splashing in the puddles too. and this place is CLEAN , CLEAN , CLEAN. PERFECT !!! THANKS TOM, SEE YOU IN APRIL ,

“Close to Beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2009

New name and new owners. The best part is that it's close to the beach....a half block. The condo units are small but it's not like you are spending a lot of time in there because you are at the beach. The kitchen was helpful to have some meals at home and save money. The porch out front was nice to sit, have coffee and read a book in the morning. The unit has AC and fans. We didnt have a problem with noise from neighbors. The owners let us hold into the beach passes our last day way after check out. The pearl street market done the block has good, high quality food, but you also pay for it.

“EXCELLENT place to stay in Beach Haven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 June 2008

The Mussel Beach Club (which I never stayed at) is now The Beach Club at Pearl Street. This is an excellent place to stay in Beach Haven! This property has been completely renovated and now consists of beautifully furnished one bedroom apartments. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in early June. The units are perfect for 1 couple or a couple with 1 or 2 children. Each unit has a kitchen/seating area, one bedroom, and a bathroom. The kitchens are beautiful-- granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, tile floors and fully equipped with all the basic needs. Each kitchen also has a small table, a sleeper sofa and TV. The bedroom has a queen bed and large dresser. Our bedroom had beautiful beach themed decor and the bathroom had beautiful tile work. Both the kitchen and bedroom had ceiling fans and the bedroom had a heating/cooling unit. There was a good size closet in the bedroom as well, so there is plenty of room for storing your stuff. The property has a laundry room and an outdoor shower for rinsing off when returning from the beach. The second floor of the property also has a small seating area with 2 tables, which overlooks the ocean. The Beach Club at Pearl Street is located less than a block from the beach and about 2 1/2 blocks from the main road, where you'll find restaurants and shops. Reservations were made by contacting the real estate agent listed on the website. She was very helpful and very pleasant to deal with. The price of these units varies throughout the season. This info is also available on the website (see musselbeach.com). You'll find that it's a little more expensive then the motels, but SO worth it. If you want more than just a basic motel room and are willing to spend a little more, do not hesitate to stay at The Beach Club at Pearl Street. You will NOT be disappointed!

“Don't let the name fool you”

I felt that the name of the establishment is misleading because it is basically a no frills motel, except that there is a separate room with a stove, full size refrigerator, and cooking utensils. However, when you think of a beach club you think of luxury. The noise level from people walking on the floor above us was awful. It was nice being very close to the beach. The room was relatively clean but the towels were old and frayed and they did not provide any shampoo. They should also advertise that they don't offer to clean the room daily, though they did provide clean towels when asked.

I liked the room in some ways but it should have had room services for the money. The owners are not that friendly but helpful on request.I am not a clean freak but I thought it would have been nice if the owners had offered to clean the room after a day or two.

In 2008 we totally renvovated all 10 units. Prior to 2008, the last remodeling was 1991. so they were tired. We, personally, clean each unit before the tenant arrives. No matter how long they stay, we never re-enter the unit.
