We stayed for 3 nights in a "King Bed Deluxe Room". Thanks to other TripAdvisor reviwers, we requested (and got) an outside room with windows. There are inside rooms without windows - ick!
Pros -
1) Though an older facility, nicely kept up and mostly updated.
2) Large, clean, comfortable room.
3) Large, clean bathroom with big counter, double sinks (but see below re tub).
4) Quiet AC/heating.
5) Nice breakfast buffet with full/hot breakfast or cold-only choices (extra charge, of course).
Cons -
1) The large bathroom had a strange tub - small, shallow and in the corner. Fine for a shower; worthless for a bath (except for a 4 year old child). This arrangment may have been an exception. A friend's room on the same floor had a standard tub.
2) They charge $10/day for in-room internet service. Bizarre! We used the business center PC at night to get e-mail (though never could get the printer to work).
3) The place is big and getting around is cumbersome. Old elevators.
4) There are apparent problems with key cards (or the clerks who prep them). Our friend could not get in her room after a long trek through multiple halls, up elevator, etc. Housekeeper let her in. It took four (4!) calls to the desk to get someone up and replace the key cards. To their credit, they gave her 2 complimentary breakfast buffet passes for her trouble.
5) Another couple started to go into their room and heard people in there. Seems they were assigned an occupied room; they could have walked right in. So much for feeling secure in your own room. The desk clerk reassigned them to an upgraded room.
6) Windowless interior rooms need to be avoided (unless you don't care).
Would I recommend it to a friend? It depends. This hotel caters to groups. If my friend is a part of a group and gets a good/discounted rate, it is a decent place to stay. Otherwise, I would probably find a better option (preferably with breakfast and internet service included in the rate).
