I spend two nights at the Ramada in Lansing about a week ago. I was there for a wedding, which the bride had booked a year or so ago when the hotel was still a Holiday Inn. Then it was under new management and those people sold it to Ramada. The hotel has a lot of potential. It is on a street with restaurants. The Lansing Mall and movie theater are just down the street. The breakfast was good with lots of food including: cereal, pastries, eggs, potatoes and make your own waffles. There is an attendant serving drinks and clearing the tables. The back of the breakfast voucher made it very clear that you were still responsible for gratuity, but I did not see anyone tipping. The rooms are very nice with new furniture. The bathrooms were nice, but there was no towel rack or toliet paper holder. There is an indoor pool, a whirlpool and a sauna. There are also a small arcade near the pool. Most of the hallways are still being remodeled, especially the first floor. I think it will be a nice hotel, but I would wait six months or so until everything is finished.
