My mother and I decided to take a few days and head to the Cape. I booked an Ocean Front room. I will say when we checked in I was a bit nervious because from the outside it was not the prettiest of the motels, but once we opened the door we were pleasantly surprised! We had apartment number 2 it was on the second floor and was an end unit. It was directly next to a public beach, but extremely private. Yes, the deck was weathered, along with the windows, BUT we were practically in the ocean. You couldn't get any closer to the ocean even if you tried. There was a full kitchen that we used for dinners, and a full size refrigerator. The bedroom had 2 twin beds that were comfortable and plenty of room for the 2 of us. There was a futon in the living room for more beds if needed. We absolutely loved our stay, and the most important thing was that it was EXTREMELY clean. We also understand that the salty water and air will weather things much faster than normal. The owners did replace the floors of the decking and stairs with the composit decking, so that made it feel safer. We had zero complaints, the motel directly behind us I'm sure paid just as much because it was shiny and new, but they sure didn't have the view and privacy that...More
