“Bliss at Hidden Pond”

This was our first trip to Maine and I wanted it to be special. We looked into different places on-line but I was really drawn to the chic cottages at Hidden Pond. We arrived on a Sunday evening and it was snowing!! We arrived at the Main Lodge and met with Justin and he lead us in his golf cart to our cottage. It was cold and snowy and Justin was so hospitable and helped us with our extremely heavy bags. We were greeted with a warm fire, a bottle of wine and a cheese plate. We just sat in the living room and had to pry ourselves off the couch to go to a local spot for dinner. We stayed at the Stargazer and loved the cozy decor. We loved the breakfast delivery - it was a nice touch. I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was extremely accommodating. We want to come back next year!!

I truly do not know how to express in words how wonderful my wife and I thought Hidden Pond was!! We stayed in "Andrea's Gate" cottage for 6 glorious nights, and if it had been possible, we would have stayed at least 6 more. When you first drive onto the grounds, you know you are in a special place. From the lovely signs reminding you to relax and breathe deeply, to the beautiful lodge and cottages, you know this is a five star facility. The staff could not have been any more wonderful. Christy, Justin, Karen, Rebecca, Todd, Pete and all the others made us feel more like we were at home than at a resort. We thank them for making our anniversary trip even more special than we had even expected. Hidden Pond has a wonderful website, but even it does not do it justice. Everything is better, prettier, and more wonderful than the pictures show. From the lovely basket of juice, coffee and breads each morning, to the "cocktail of the day" and relaxing bonfire each evening, Hidden Pond is the place to go for a relaxing vacation. And, we were so fortunate to be there for the Fall Foliage which was breathtaking. Who knew that trees could be "fire engine red?" We had the time of our lives and believe me - we will be back next year, same time, same cottage!! Thank you Hidden Pond for the best vacation ever!!

“Relaxing and Comfortable”

I stayed in Firefly cottage for a week. The amenities were just what one would hope for but not always necessarily get at places such as this. Here we got it all. Wonderful welcome basket with provisions for a nice evening snack on our check-in day.
In the kitchen oil and vinegar from Stonewall Kitchen. In the morning a sweet basket of muffins, scones, milk, coffee and fresh OJ. It was left on a neat little hook outside the door. Excellent coffee was also there on the counter if you needed more...which I always do! Every day great snacks were out on the counter of the GORGEOUS main lodge. (Felt like I was in Big Sur or some rugged western place!) And at the end of our stay another little gift of home-made cookies and a personally-written Thank-you note.
The staff were so friendly and helpful.
Pool very nice. Not big but just right for afew blissful moments.
Nightly bonfire was a great time to chill and maybe meet some folks.
Goose Rocks Beach just a short bike ride away.
OH, and the beds were soft but not too soft and I slept like a baby.
Just loved the place and hope to come back again.

“A Little Slice of Heaven in Maine”

We had a wonderful experience at Hidden Pond. My husband and I stayed for just two nights due to busy schedules, but wished we had booked a week! Christy, the General Manager, was very gracious and accomodating. The front desk staff of Justin and Karen, real pros at making guests feel truly welcome and comfortable.
We rode the bikes one mile to Goose Rocks Beach one morning and enjoyed breathing in the crisp sea air. The countryside is lovely; fields and marshes til you get to the ocean.
The fitness room has large windows so that even working out is a pleasure. We loved our cottage so much that we ordered dinner in and had everything we needed in the well equipped, beautifully designed kitchen. The entire cottage was just perfect; from beds like clouds that you just sink into, to a comfortable living/dining area to read, watch tv, or just sit in front of the fire with a drink. Truly a 5 star experience. We will definitely be back!

My Wife, our son and I have had the very good fortune of staying in some beautiful five star resorts over the past decade, each one of them was uniquely beautiful and relaxing in thier own way. Every time we were leaving one of them we would say " I can't wait to come back here again" We have never returned to any one of those beautiful resorts..............until now.
Hidden Pond, without fail, was and still is our favorite hotel/resort to go for a vacation (2X), it's the kind of place that I think even Hemingway may have had difficulty describing it's beauty, spacious private cottages that are all uniquely designed, you have your own private screened in patio to relax, nap, eat, drink coffee and play board games on (I recommend all). The staff and service is impeccable, they appear to have the gift of knowing when to be around for help and when to disappear for privacy and still make you feel like family, and every morning you wake up to find fresh squezzed O.J. and warm breads and muffins on your front porch (nice touch).
The pool and main lodge are equally impressive, the set up of this entire resort must be seen to be believed. You are very close to everything, Beach, restaurants, downtown, lobsters, etc. yet when you get back to your cottage you feel like you are miles from civilization.
We would (and have) several times, recommended this place to our friends and family, we are quite sure they are sick of hearing about it, but if you decide to treat yourself to this place, you'll understand
