In fairness I haven't stayed there for two years but the last time was what I would consider below value. Everything is old. You check in at a window like a gas station in a bad neighbothood passing your info in a pass thru. The staff was foriegn and difficult to understand. The rooms were only just barely passable clean. Found some bugs in the bathroom but they may have come in from outside because we had the door open because the weather was great.
This place is overpriced for what you get. I have been to nicer motels for $49 per night and I believe that this place was $60 per night.
There is definately a lack of places to stay in Taylorville unless you want to pay over $100 per night. Too much for just a place to rest your head. That is why this place can stay open and charge what they do. Captive audiance.More
