I loved the Hike Inn! The facilities and food were great. The food is excellent. I highly recommend purchasing the sack lunch especially if you plan to hike to Springer Mtn. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely return.

This was on my list of things to do for a long time. Finally made it and it was well worth the wait. Lodging, food, service are all top notch. I recommend the sack lunch as well for the hike out you won't find a better value on food of this quality. Unplug and relax with a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise, spend some quality time with someone just playing board games in the sunrise room or completely disconnect and spend time alone in nature. All of these are possibilities.

I have been coming to the Hike Inn for years and every time is wonderful. The hike in is 5 miles and you can hike back out on an alternate trail making it a loop if you like. If you stay over for a second day or want to make the hike out a longer trip Springer Mountain (Southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail) is about 4.4 miles from the Inn which makes for a nice day hike. The breakfast and dinner are always wonderful. If you are an early riser the sunrise is not to be missed. There are just not enough wonderful things to say to explain how special the Hike Inn is.

it was a rainy day but the hike was ok. not too much mud. but my shoe blew out on the way back...that was not too bad as I used the liner to get back...the food and service and beds are excellent. I love it here. one of my all time favorite places

The lodging, facilities, food and staff were wonderful. I'm not sure I have ever been to such a clean rustic place. The hike in and out is a gentle five miles. We were fortunate enough to see a black bear up a tree around the 3.1 marker. I plan to go back in the winter to enjoy the views.
