Hubby and I came here for our late honeymoon and LOVED it! We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing setting. We didn't take advantage of the kitchen or grill on our patio but definitely plan to next time we visit. The room we had (2nd from the beach) was small but fit our needs perfectly. Mike (owner) was outside picking up the grounds and raking the sand every day... they really take pride in their little resort! We even saw a HUGE colorful iguana hanging out on the beach. He eventually walked past us, scaled the wall next door, and hopped into their yard to give them a good scare!

We will DEFINITELY go back soon and can't recommend this place enough!

Okay, ditto everything nice all the other reviewers have said!!! We stayed December 23 - 27 in the Key West room - nearest the beach. We just hung out, got some sun, grilled steaks on our furnished Weber grill, went for walks at Long Key State Park, had seafood at Ballyhoos and just chilled. Picture this: it's Christmas Eve, about 9 PM, warm outside and my wife and I are sitting together on the settee n the Tiki Hut, on the beach, watching The Polar Express on my laptop and occassionally peeking out at the starfilled sky. This ain't Minnesota baby!

Watched the sunset from the many chairs every afternoon, ate fresh fruit by the water every morning along with fresh brewed coffee from the furnished coffeemaker, stalked the dock at night seeing minnows, bigger fish and crabs swimming by. Used one of the Kayaks and paddled around the mangrove islands just offhshore. Is this Heaven? No, and it's not Iowa either - it's the easygoing, quaint Florida of my childhood and that's pretty darn close to Heaven! Thanks Mike and Carol!

I wanted to get away from the hustle & bustle of corporate life and found the solace of The Florida Keys in the service of Mike & Carol Shipley at Isand Bay Resort. Their hospitality and the quintessential Keys experience were exactly what I needed. The quiet, exclusive room and private beach were exactly how I pictured my vacation. Thanks!

Stayed for 10 nights and could have stayed for longer. It is not often that one is surprised to find that a resort is better than described on the internet. We found a resort to chill out and be totally relaxed. The view from the private beach is perfection. The cottages are a delight with all the facilties that one would need. Nothing is too much trouble for Carol and Mike as well as Dianne the housekeeper. It was certainly worth the trip from the UK and we will be visiting again.
